BATTERIES
Ensure that your batteries are stored correctly, ideally in a protective box or case. Making sure your batteries are safe will save you money in the long run so treat them carefully. Don’t leave them lying around in your pockets or in the car. Cold weather will also affect the length of time your batteries maintain their charge.
I tend to buy batteries in a small batch, especially if it’s for my favourite setup. That way I always have a steady supply of the same battery available. Swapping out batteries regularly will also make sure your batteries last longer.
coils
It is always recommended that you use your coil with the wattage or temperature range suggested in the instructions to ensure you don’t burn your wick. At first you may want to start slowly and start with a low power setting and gradually increase it until you get the flavour and hit you like. Supercharging your coil straight away might make the coil burn out and leave a terrible taste in your mouth.
I wouldn’t skimp on these babies either. Sure, you can clean them up with whatever method you choose, but a fresh coil will make sure your juice tastes as good as it should.
MODS
Ensure your mod is clean from excess e-liquid and general gunk, paying special attention to the 510 thread. You can use a piece of tissue, a paper towel, or a cotton bud to clean around the 510 connection. Personally, I like to use a cotton bud and microfiber cloth to make sure my mods stay in tip top condition.
TANKS
I recommend that you clean your tank every two weeks. If you’re like me, maybe every week! Changing to a fresh coil is always a good excuse to give the whole tank a good clean and spending some time doing this will make your setup last that much longer. It’s strangely relaxing too. When cleaning, always try to keep your tank in an upright position. Tanks left on their side, especially overnight, will tend to leak and that’s a mess that no one needs!
